Filters
Introduction
Filters can be used to narrow down a page to show only the information you want to see. In Abdo Compass you will find your filters on the left side of your page.
Date Range
The first filter
is the date range. The key to changing your dates is to always
expand your range first. So, if you
are
looking at 2021 and want to look back at 2020, you’ll first expand your range by bringing
the beginning date back first
and your ending
date second. On the other hand, if you’re looking
at 2020 and want to move forward to 2021, you’ll expand your
range by bringing
the end date forward first
and then the beginning date.
To change your dates you
can either type your date or
click to
it. To
type, click once in
the date box and
then click and highlight the date so you can type your new one.
To click to
your date, use the
up or
down arrows (1) if
you’re just moving a
month or
two, or
you can
click on the year and month,
which will zoom out (2) and allow you to make your selection. Use the arrows
in this zoomed-out view to move between years. Choose your year first,
then month, then date.
Drop Downs
Your other filters are dropdowns. You can
either scroll through the
options and
make your selection, or
you can type in the search
box (3).
To
select multiple options, hold down the
CTRL key
on your keyboard while you click.
To quickly clear your selections, hover your mouse over the filter and you
will see
an eraser icon (4). Click on that and it will clear the filter.
If you are ever looking
at your page and something doesn’t look right,
the first thing you should
check is your filters. Make sure everything is filtered correctly and nothing is filtered that shouldn’t be.
